<p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p><p>Native Health Initiative is seeking a part-time Grant Writer to support our fundraising and program sustainability efforts. This position will be responsible for identifying public and private funding opportunities aligned with NHI’s mission and developing high-quality grant proposals and responses. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p><p>· Researching and tracking grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funders </p><p>· Writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals and required supporting materials </p><p>· Collaborating with NHI staff to gather programmatic, budgetary, and outcome information </p><p>· Managing grant timelines and submission deadlines</p><p>· Attend biweekly NHI staff meetings</p><p>· Any other tasks as appropriate and delegated by the Executive Director.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>· Must be 18 years of age and be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background check.</p><p>· Demonstrated experience in grant research and writing </p><p>· Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills </p><p>· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines </p><p>· Familiarity with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations and Indigenous communities preferred</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Hours and Compensation:</strong></p><p>The Grant Writer position is an hourly position that may work more hours during certain times of year than others. At this time, we estimate 10 hours per week. Hourly rate range is $20-30/hour, depending on experience.
