Specialist III Position Control & Payroll (226 Days) -(RTP20260422-018)
Description

  • Process position transactions and position conversion(s) for departments district-wide according to established procedures
  • Update position tables and work structure definitions in Oracle
  • Create and maintain district organizational reports and org charts
  • Assist with the creation of job codes by communicating with other departments to ensure accurate placement of positions
  • Assist and support division staff with position and staff related issues
  • Analyze position data for the annual financial planning process
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to position control function
  • Assist in the development of procedure manuals to facilitate the attainment of assigned targets
  • Conduct regular audits of positions to ensure accuracy of positions, to monitor overfills and address any other issues related to positions
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Accredited Senior High School Diploma or valid equivalent (USA equivalency)
  • Two years experience preferred in administrative support
  • Knowledge of district organization, operations and administrative policies preferred
  • Organization, prioritization, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
  • Ability to successfully complete assignments with general supervision
  • Ability to use computer software for ad hoc reporting (Oracle Report Portal, Microsoft Power BI and Visio preferred), Microsoft Office, ORG Plus, Public Sector Budgeting (PSB) and experience with Oracle E-Business is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral format
